Women’s Cooperative – GEA, SHG, EP and Organic

Introducing proudly our second women’s cooperative coffee offering - a smooth Honduran which is grown and produced by a sizeable cooperative of almost 400 women farmers over several neighbouring regions.

The farming methods used by this women’s collective have been carefully developed in partnership with agronomists to ensure adherence to best practices in relation to plant nutrition, pest control and the preparation of bio-fertilisers. Through NKG Bloom the women smallholders have also been helped to set up working partnerships with financial advisors and marketing/business experts so they can grow and maintain their export and customer base.

Our Honduras NKG Bloom GEA Organic is a washed coffee sourced from farms at altitudes from 1100 – 1650 masl and the harvest period is January to April.

The coffee is processed after picking using a washed pulp method and dried using raised beds, solar dryers as well as more traditional patio drying.

The medium roasted beans produce a smooth bodied drink with a mellow, caramel finish. The juicy acidity is reminiscent of dried fruits with a hint of herbal/floral notes.

!00% Arabica – IH90, Catuai, Caturra, Lempira and Bourbon varietals.

Tasting Notes: Toffee, Chocolate, Apricot & Green Grape

Grind Style: Whole Bean
Size: 250g
